Financial Aid FAQ

Tuition Scholarship Frequently Asked Questions

How much will my child’s scholarship be?

The amount of each child’s scholarship is determined by the family’s size and income. The maximum award is 90% of their tuition payment.

Why do families have to pay part of the tuition?

One key component of educational success is parental involvement. Making a financial sacrifice is a strong incentive to becoming and remaining involved. Therefore, the scholarship is a hand-up, not a hand-out.

Who is eligible for the scholarships?

Any family can apply for a scholarship to the Polish School of Charlotte. All awards will be provided directly to the school. The Polish School does not determine eligibility based on color, race, class or background. All families will be considered equally and their eligibility will be determined based on consistent criteria.

When can I apply for a scholarship?

A family can submit an application for a scholarship at any time. The Board of Directors evaluates and determines awards based on the financial and physical capacity of the organization. Awards can be made and honored at any time based on the Board approval.

How will I know that my child has been awarded a scholarship?

All applicants regardless of the final decision will receive a reply from the Board of Directors (board@polishschoolofcharlotte.org).
